“The Best Gig I Ever Saw” is a weekly column that will see us ask a musician to chat about their favorite concert thus far. This week it’s Tammy Ealom, singer and guitarist with Denver indie rockers Dressy Bessy who play the Moroccan Lounge with Potty Mouth this week…
Best live show in my memory would have to be seeing the Spice Girls with John Hill (band member), my daughter and her friend at Fiddlers Green Amphitheater August of 1998. Ginger Spice had quit the group and I remember being slightly disappointed that she would not be performing. She was my fave by default as I, too, dyed (and still do) my hair red!

The four Spice’s that did perform did not disappoint. We were third row right, smack in front of the ever adorable Baby Spice. I remember John and I freaking out (along with hundreds of screaming 12-year-old girls) as Baby looked and pointed directly at us while singing “if you wanna be my lover…” Truly a magical concert and girl-powered experience for all of us.

Dressy Bessy plays with Potty Mouth and Colleen Green at 8 p.m. on Friday, July 19 at the Moroccan Lounge.
