Enthusiasts of the art deco movement, and the decades in which it flourished, gathered over the Aug. 19-21 weekend on the majestic Queen Mary in Long Beach for the 12th annual Art Deco Festival. The cruise liner, which is celebrating its 80th year since it was put into service, is home to the largest collection of art deco art and architecture in the world. Spirits were high, both in emotion and libation, when L.A. Weekly captured all of Saturday's dancing, dining and drinking fun aboard the Queen Mary. All photos by Jared Cowan.
