THC-P Benefits: How THC-P Differs From THC V

DSC01623

THC-P and THCV sound pretty similar, but despite their tongue-twisting monikers THC-P benefits vs THCV benefits are where the two substances really differ. You see, while THCV is known for weight-loss benefits, THC-P benefits are reported to be like a stronger version of Delta 9. THCP benefits are reported to include substantial pain relief and have unique (positive) effects on the nervous system, your mood and your appetite to name a few.

Another difference between THC-P benefits and those of other cannabinoids, is that THC-P is a naturally occurring cannabinoid in cannabis, meaning that it’s always been there, and we just never knew about it. It’s not a synthesized cannabinoid like THC-O, instead it is completely organic. In fact, you’ve most likely inadvertently consumed THCP at some point in your life. A fair share of users now believe a very strong and unexpected “high” could be caused by a pairing of THC and THCP, as opposed to THC on its own. This makes sense because the specific compounds in cannabis do not suddenly begin to exist when unearthed. They have been there the whole time.

THC-P is different than THCV in that THC-P is much stronger. With users reporting an incredible buzz and body high, those curious about THC-P benefits have been searching high and low for a safe way of trying this new substance. Thankfully, binoid.com has all new THC-P vape cartridges that are leaving everyone talking about how awesome THC-P benefits are.

Binoid THC-P vape carts are available in four different strains/flavors: Aurora Indica, Trainwreck (Sativa), Fruit Loops (Hybrid), and God’s Gift (Indica) flavors. Each one uses only premium THCp and terpene strains. That means they are extremely potent, and extremely clean products.

Want to learn more about THC-P benefits, including how THC-P is different than THC-V and other cannabinoids? Let’s answer some common questions about THC-P to learn more about this exciting cannabinoid.

THC-P Benefits: What Is THC-P?

THC-P is another psychoactive hemp derivative to join those already booming on the market. Unsurprisingly, THC-P is unique from all of the others, with properties that set it apart and make it a worthy addition to the bustling industry. These products include THC-P vape cartridges, THC-O disposables, and soon THC-P gummies available. The interesting thing is that THCP is thought to be 30 times stronger than regular Delta 9 THC! Yes, 30x stronger than regular THC. The first THCP products include Binoid’s unique line of vape cartridges of six different terpene flavors.

THC-P Benefits: Everything You Need To Know

As we all know, there is a lot more to consider regarding cannabinoids than whether or not they can get you high. For instance, CBD is completely non-psychoactive, and yet it’s an enormously popular cannabinoid because of its properties pertaining to functions of the body including mood, sleep, and pain.

Because of the function of cannabinoids in relation to the ECS, these compounds can be enormously valuable in terms of their effects that relate to how we feel, both physically and mentally, and many people who use cannabinoids do so not for the high that they can produce, but for their other properties.

That being said, tetrahydrocannabiphorol is a cannabinoid that we expect to learn a lot more about in the future, as researchers will undoubtedly want to do more studies to clarify its individual properties.  But, the same team that discovered THC-P did do some tests on it to figure out what it’s capable of outside of being extremely capable of yielding a strong psychoactive response.

The piece of data referenced above shows the results of these preliminary studies.  Right now, we have reason to believe that THC-P products yield similar effects as delta 9 THC, only perhaps stronger.  This means that its shown to have unique effects on pain levels, nervous system function, mood, and appetite, which are all properties long associated with Delta-9.

Of course, it’s worth noting that if THC-P products such as vapes are capable of yielding particularly powerful psychoactive effects compared to delta 9 THC, anyone attempting to try it must be aware of its intoxicating potential before taking it.  In fact, any psychoactive cannabinoid requires that the user develop a tolerance to its effects by starting with low amounts and gradually increasing serving sizes over time, because psychoactive compounds can make a person feel “too high” if they’re not used to it.

THC-P Facts: What Makes THC-P Different

Out of about 150 or so cannabinoids found in the hemp plant, there are some that get a lot more attention than others.  Without a doubt, cannabidiol CBD is the star, along with THC, which is far more trace but notable, nonetheless.  However, cannabis analysis research has gotten a lot more advanced over the years, fueled by changes in law and a growing interest in the hemp market.

As a result, scientists are frequently discovering new compounds in the hemp plant that offer unique properties that are worth exploring such as delta 8 THC products , delta 10 THC products, THC-O-Acetate products, THCV, and even HHC products.

A lot of the cannabinoids that have entered circulation in recent years have been known by scientists for decades.  Cannabidiol (CBD), cannabinol (CBN), cannabigerol  (CBG), and of course, tetrahydrocannabinol (THC) have all been researched and analyzed long before we started to find these cannabinoid-specific products available to us.

Tetrahydrocannabiphorol, on the other hand, is actually an extremely new discovery.  In fact, it wasn’t known of until 2019, when a group of Italian researchers stumbled upon it while researching hemp.  The initial study regarding THC-P was released on December 30 of 2019, to be exact.

Tetrahydrocannabiphorol’s discovery was an accident, and the result of the Italian research team applying mass-spectrometry and liquid chromatography techniques to a sample of hemp. These two techniques are used for biological analysis, to better separate individual compounds so that they can be examined in a more precise and isolated way.  This allows cannabinoids to isolate so that their individual properties and characteristics can be explored.

Once these processes were applied to the sample, THC-P emerged, and so the team decided to analyze it more closely to understand its properties. THC-P is a naturally occurring cannabinoid in cannabis, meaning that it’s always been there, and we just never knew about it.  It’s not a synthesized cannabinoid like THC-O, meaning that it’s completely organic.

How Do You Enjoy THC-P Benefits?

One thing that hemp enthusiasts can always count on when it comes to new cannabinoids is seeing them in the same products that they are already used to.  With that said, here are the kinds of THC-P products you can hopefully expect to come across in the very near future.

  • THC-P Vapes: Both pre-filled cartridges and disposable devices containing THC-P extract will likely be extremely popular, and will come in a variety of strains that come from adding terpene profiles to THC-P.
  • THC-P Tinctures: THC-P tinctures will also likely emerge, diluting the cannabinoid extract in a carrier oil and offering a variety of milligram strengths for sublingual administration.
  • THC-P Edibles: Gummies remain extremely popular, and THC-P gummies will almost definitely hit the market, offering longer-lasting effects than other products due to how they absorb through the digestive process.
  • THC-P Capsules: There is a growing interest in cannabinoid-specific capsules, so THC-P capsules are probably going to be available as well.
  • THC-P Dabs: Dabs are extremely sought-after, offering powerful concentrations of cannabinoids.  THC-P wax, shatter, and other concentrates will probably be very successful.

THC-P Benefits Dosage Guide

  1. Beginner THC-P dosing (low tolerance): 1mg-2mg per use
  2. Intermediate THC-P dosing (medium tolerance): 2mg-5mg per use
  3. Advanced THC-P dosing (high tolerance): 5mg-8mg+ per use

This dosage chart applies to THC-P products and THCP vape cartridges. THC-P is much stronger than most if not all other cannabinoids, including Delta-9. It will definitely hit you hard if you take too much. As mentioned, the best way to dose out THC-P is to try a little dose, then to keep increasing until you feel what you need.

A List Of THC-P Side Effects:

The side-effects of tetrahydrocannabiphorol are still hidden to an extent.  Again, this is a new cannabinoid and exclusive short-term and long-term THC-P side-effects have yet to be documented properly.

THC-P has not been described to have any extreme side effects at this time, and most do not usually have negative effects. However, since THC-P is similar to THC, we can assume that when side-effects occur, they are pretty much correlated to include the following:

  • Paranoia
  • Anxiousness
  • Self-consciousness
  • Sleepiness
  • Fatigue
  • Alertness
  • Dry mouth
  • Red eyes
  • Memory loss (temporary)
  • Sickness
  • Vomiting

Tetrahydrocannabiphorol binds effectively to your CB1 receptor, hence those THCP side-effects might be more pronounced.  That is why care and consideration should be taken if (or when) you choose to consume any THC-P products.  This means knowing your body and above all else, speaking with your doctor first before taking it, especially if you’re taking prescription medications.  Like any other cannabinoid, it could interfere with the CYP3A4 enzyme that’s responsible for metabolizing half of the meds we take.

Is THC-P Safe?

Yes, when purchased from a trusted source like Binoid.com.

THC-P is a new compound to be studied more in-depth within the next few years. However, anecdotal evidence suggests that THC-P is a very strong compound that should not be taken lightly. Luckily, THC-P products are being mixed with Delta 8, with a small percentage of THC-P to make sure the products are safe to use and the experience is enjoyable.

Is THC-P Legal?

At the time of this article being written, there is no legislation singling out THC-P, and it will maintain a federally legal status as it’s protected by the 2018 Farm Bill which allows all hemp derivatives, except for delta 9 THC, to be legal.  Individual states may ban the compound as they have with other cannabinoids.

Because THC-P products currently are produced from hemp, this makes things even more complicated. Since federal law states that all hemp derivatives except delta 9 THC are legal, none of the literature makes a distinction between naturally occurring and synthesized compounds taken from the plant.

At the present moment there are new THC-P products and vape cartridges releasing daily, which means you could find out what it potentially offers in terms of its “one-of-a-kind high.” All due to the 2018 Farm Bill. You can find a state by state legal list here.

THC-P VS THCV: How It’s Different?

How is THC-P different from other popular cannabinoids like THCV, Delta-8, Delta-9 and Delta-10? Well, the most notable characteristic of tetrahydrocannabiphorol is, to nobody’s surprise, its psychoactive activity, as this is always the aspect of a THC cannabinoid that gets the most interest.  So, what is the psychoactive nature of THC-P products?  Well, researchers found that it’s 30x more efficient when it comes to binding to CB1 receptors than delta-9-tetrahydrocannabinol (delta 9 THC).

CB1 receptors are the cannabinoid receptors in the nervous system.  Cannabinoid receptors are a component of the endocannabinoid system, which is a widespread bodily system that keeps the body in homeostasis.  It sends each cannabinoid to specific cannabinoid receptors located throughout the body, where these compounds bind to the receptors to regulate specific actions of the body.  Cannabinoid receptors fall into two categories:

  • CB1 (nervous system)
  • CB2 (immune and digestive systems)

Intoxicating cannabinoids like delta 8, delta 9, and now THC-P bind specifically to CB1 receptors to produce psychoactive effects.  Therefore, tetrahydrocannabiphorol’s unique competence at binding to CB1 receptors implies that it’s more psychoactive than delta-9.
