Summit will have “Burning Man flair” to spare. It’s a two-day gathering
of the digital-art community and their fans. Planned are classes and panels, plus
live nude drawing and something called the Creation Station, where Burning Man–man
Keith Greco will be at the center of a ginormous tent that offers any artist so
inclined to contribute to the installation. Also on sale: That Burning Man Feeling

This year’s Mariachi USA Festival features Mariachi America
de Jesus Rodriguez de Hijar from Mexico; Mariachi Los Arrieros, from McAllen,
Texas; and two all-female ensembles: Mariachi Las Alteñas from Texas and Mariachi
Mujer 2000 from California. The one and only Jose Feliciano debuts his new mariachi
album, A Mexico Con Amor. And by the time Trio Los
Panchos, “the number-one group from the Golden Age of the boleros,” performs,

cars of heads of state, viewers learn about the unique uses of transport for parades
and royal processions. But can this be as interesting as learning that the horses
in the changing of the guard at Buckingham Palace are “corked” before certain
