We’re just a week away, but there are still plenty of options available to make it a hassle-free holiday. Gelato pies, reasonable prix fixe meal deals and brunch, here are another six satisfying tips for the Thanksgiving countdown.

Gelateria Uli is cooking up cool pies for the holiday. There’s pumpkin spice and sea salt chocolate gelato, maple pecan and sea salt caramel gelato, vegan caramel apple and chocolate sorbet pies. Order now through Tuesday, November 26, and they’ll be available for pickup through Wednesday, November 27. They also have individual slices available for sale in both stores for $6. The 8-inch pies range from $30 t0 $35.

Jute Coastal Bar + Kitchen at westdrift Manhattan Beach will be open for Thanksgiving with buffet brunch featuring bottomless champagne and mimosas, eggs made to order with all of the fixings, a seafood station that includes everything from king crab legs to assorted sashimi and Masago caviar. There’s also the traditional feast of butternut squash soup or lobster bisque, braised turkey, crusted roast beef and roasted tofurkey, alongside garlic mashed potatoes, edamame Mash, roasted cauliflower and maple butter sweet potatoes. Desserts include assorted pies, a s’mores bar, holiday cakes, cookies, mini tarts and designing your own cupcake to look like a turkey. Pricing is $69 for adults and $30 for children.

At The Kitchen for Exploring Foods, guests can choose from two packages or a full a la carte menu ($100 minimum). Orders to be placed by 5 p.m. on Sunday, November 24. 

Package 1: Serves 8-10 people; $195 + tax

  • Whole brined, herb-roasted 14-16 lb. turkey with house-made gravy and cranberry chutney
  • Parker house rolls and whipped honey butter
  • Choice of two sides (such as house made bread stuffing, vegan quinoa stuffing, or brown sugar-glazed roasted yams with toasted pecans)
  • Choice of one pie (pumpkin, apple, or pecan)

Package 2: Serves 10-15 people; $450 + tax

  • Whole brined, herb-roasted 14-16 lb. turkey with house made gravy and cranberry chutney
  • Whole beef tenderloin with cabernet wine sauce, horseradish sauce, crispy onions
  • Parker house rolls and whipped honey butter
  • Choice of two sides

‘s executive chef, Andreas Roller, will be presenting a Thanksgiving feast that includes fall favorites such as whole roasted turkey with sweet potato, roasted apple stuffing, blue lake beans, and gravy. Dessert options include modern interpretations of holiday classics like a cranberry orange cheesecake with orange blossom chantilly, citrus meringue and Grand Marnier. Guests can choose a three- or six-course Thanksgiving menu for $75 and $110 per person, respectively, with a children’s menu available for $35. Thanksgiving prix-fixe menu is available from noon to 7 p.m.

Nick + Stef’s Steakhouse will be serving up a traditional turkey dinner with all the trimmings, including Diestel Farms turkey, chestnut stuffing, JBS potato puree, candied butternut squash, pickled cranberry compote and turkey gravy.  The Thanksgiving special will be available 3 p.m. to 9 p.m. at $55 per person. For those not craving turkey, Nick + Stef’s full a la carte menu will also be available, including the signature dry-aged steaks and the 48-oz. tomahawk rib chop that easily serves two to three people.

The Mar Vista has a three-course $45 prix fixe menu with a diverse choice of  first courses that include heirloom apple an butternut squash soup, autumn grape and gorgonzola salad, a vegan sweet chili carrot and Brussels sprout salad, their signature mushroom fundido and brie en croute. Main dishes include roasted stuffed acorn squash, classic roasted turkey, smoked turkey leg confit and braised short ribs with lime spiked sweet potatoes. Five dessert choices include free style pumpkin pie, crustless pecan pie, a cranberry-raspberry crumble and vegan chocolate budino with coconut whipped cream.
