Angelenos get the rare gift of gratis parking at the Music Center for the equally free, three-hour, 52nd annual L.A. County Holiday Celebration, which ranges from endearing children's choirs to the polished professionalism of the Gay Men's Chorus of Los Angeles. The event displays this city's jaw-dropping diversity, especially in the dance lineup, which includes Grandeza Mexicana Folk Ballet with traditional Mexican folkoric dance, Kwan Gyu Lim Dance Company reinterpreting traditional Korean fan dance, live jazz musicians accompanying the Jazz Tap Ensemble and Versa Style Dance Company with what is described as “holiday hip-hop.” Can't get downtown? Catch the live broadcast on KCET-TV, KPFK-FM or streaming on kcet.org. This broadcast used to be about the only time local arts groups appeared on KCET, but the station deserves kudos since its break with PBS for stepping up its coverage of local arts, especially dance. For the complete lineup go to HolidayCelebration.org. Music Center, Dorothy Chandler Pavilion, 135 N.Grand Ave., dwntwn.; Sat., Dec. 24, 3 p.m.; free. (213) 972-3099.
