Silver Lake's greatest (and only) record shop/barbecue joint Territory BBQ + Records (and never was there a more clearly labeled record shop/barbecue joint) is planning another of its excellent backyard bacchanals, this time with the support of the also excellent Seattle-based reissues label, Light In The Attic.

On Tuesday, January 12, from 7 p.m. to 10 p.m., free beer, live DJs and vinyl deals will abound. LitA folk will be there spinning LitA vinyl, in addition to other excavated nuggets, and the grills will be fired up, no doubt filling a multi-mile radius with the sweet, piquant scents of ribs and brisket done North Carolina style.

If you prefer things a little more, ahem, fried, fear not — the last time West Coast Sound attended one of these things, at least one attendee was waist deep in a seemingly glorious acid trip. The free Otter Pops in the freezer out back help with this.

Last weekend, Territory placed a handful of old records in opportune public locations, spray-painted with the words, “SOUL TERRITORY” (as seen above and to the left). Bring one in and save money on some grooved grooviness.

And now, the flyer for the main event:
