A Hollywood street performer dressed in Terminator 2 garb picked the wrong day to stroll by a high school with a toy gun and all-black garb, it seems.
Police told the Weekly the guy was walking down the street outside Hollywood High School today when someone noticed what appeared to be a rifle in his bag and called the cops.
The gun turned out to be a toy:
It all happened shortly after 1 p.m. outside the school, police said. The man was allowed to go on his way.
He was dressed in all-black and apparently wearing a black mask, says Hollywood 311, which monitors LAPD Hollywood Division radio traffic:
Cops wouldn't give us many details, but we can imagine police going gangbusters to the location after what happened in Newtown Friday and after Chief Charlie Beck's vow to maintain a high level of vigilance when it comes to local schools.
Police told us the guy was heading to his street-performance spot near Hollywood Boulevard and Highland Avenue.
