A teenager was pulled into a Fashion District driveway downtown and sexually assaulted in broad daylight as another suspect, possibly a lookout, stood by, police said today.

Police told the Weekly the 18-year-old, whose name was not released, was the victim of digital penetration. She had been walking to work at 7:30 in the morning of July 16 when the suspect grabbed her near Olympic Boulevard and Main Street police said.

Lt. Paul Vernon gave us this description of the attacker:

The main suspect is 6 feet, 200, with long hair and glasses. He's a male Hispanic, 25.

The alleged lookout:

The guy with the full cheek tattoo is a male Hispanic, 5-9, 160, 18 to 20.

Vernon said it was “hard to say” if the two appeared to be transients.

During the day the Fashion District is teeming with young women who run labels, design clothing and attend at least one design school in the area. At night it becomes somewhat of a satellite of Skid Row.

Anyone who might recognize either was asked to call police at 213-972-1235 or 800-222-TIPS.
