14-Year-Old Teenager Killed in Pedestrian Accident on Pima Street
AVONDALE, AZ (January 21, 2022) – Tuesday evening, a 14-year-old pedestrian was killed in a deadly crash on El Mirage Road.
The fatal collision took place in the area of El Mirage Road and Pima Street shortly before 7:30 p.m.
According to reports, the teenager was crossing the street at the intersection when a passing vehicle struck him. Although, further circumstances surrounding the crash remain unclear.
Paramedics arrived and rushed the teen to the hospital, where he was later pronounced dead. It is still currently unclear whether the pedestrian was inside a marked crosswalk at the time.
Additionally, the involved driver stayed at the scene for further investigation, and showed no signs of impairment.
The incident remains under active investigation.
