Oxnard Crash Left Teen Girl Dead, Mother and Brother Injured

OXNARD, CA (July 16, 2021) – Tuesday, a two-vehicle crash claimed the life of a teenage girl and left her mother and brother injured.

The crash occurred around 2:03 p.m., in the intersection of North Rose Avenue and East Gonzales Road.

Later, investigations stated that a southbound 2012 white Dodge Ram 2500 pickup collided with a northbound 1999 silver Honda Civic. However, the events leading up to the collision remain unclear.

The 13-year-old occupying the front right passenger seat of the Honda died from the crash. Meanwhile, paramedics transported her 46-year-old mother and 17-year-old brother to a hospital with moderate injuries.

In addition, the two occupants of the pick-up truck did not receive any injuries.

The surrounding area remained blocked for more than four hours and caused major traffic in the area. Oxnard Officials are still currently investigating the circumstances surrounding the two-vehicle crash.
