14-Year-Old Bicyclist Hospitalized after Collision on Williams Drive

OXNARD, CA (August 3, 2022) – Wednesday night, a 14-year-old boy was hospitalized following a bicycle accident on Gonzales Road.

The incident happened around 8:12 p.m., at the intersection of Gonzales Road and Williams Drive, on July 20th.

According to reports, a 2021 Dodge Ram heading north on Gonzales Road struck a cyclist that was heading west on Williams Drive.

Responding medics transported the cyclist to Ventura County Medical Center in critical state. Meanwhile, the 19-year-old driver of the Dodge remained on scene and cooperated with the investigation.

Following preliminary investigations, it is not clear whether or not drugs were involved. Although, an active investigation is underway.
