14-Year-Old Boy Struck While Walking to School near Baseline Road

PHOENIX, AZ (August 19, 2021) – Tuesday morning on August 3, a teen boy was hospitalized after a pedestrian accident on 59th Avenue.

The crash took place around 8:00 a.m., near 59th Avenue and Baseline Road, as stated by the report.

According to the Phoenix police, the boy was walking to school and was outside of a marked crosswalk when he was hit by a vehicle.

The student of Betty H. Fairfax High School was sent to the hospital in critical but stable condition.

In addition, the driver remained on the scene and cooperated with authorities. He claims that neither speed nor impairment played a role in the collision.
