17-Year-Old Teenager Pronounced Dead after 2-Car Accident on 75th Avenue

PEORIA, AZ (May 29, 2024) – One teen girl was killed late Wednesday morning, in a two-car crash on West Cholla Street and 75th Avenue.

Police officers responded to the scene around 11:00 a.m. Investigators report that a Chevrolet Avalanche was traveling south when it collided with a Toyota Scion that was making a left turn onto Cholla Street West.

The collision resulted in severe injuries to two occupants of the Toyota, while the driver of the Chevrolet sustained minor injuries. Due to the severity of the injuries, medics pronounced a 17-year-old girl deceased at the scene.

Authorities have not yet disclosed her name or place of residence. Crews temporarily closed the surrounding area to conduct cleanup and initial investigations.

An active investigation is ongoing to gather more information. Additional details about the fatal two-vehicle crash on Cholla Street will be released as they become available.
