16-Year-Old Boy Pronounced Dead after Rollover Collision near 47th Avenue Northeast

MARYSVILLE, WA (July 11, 2023) – Tuesday morning, one teen was killed and three were injured in a rollover crash on 136th Street Northeast. The incident occurred just after 12:00 a.m., near 47th Avenue on the 4th of July. Officers determined that the driver of a vehicle was traveling at high speeds and lost control on the railroad tracks. As a result, the vehicle rolled over, ejecting its occupants onto the road. Due to the extent of injuries sustained, medics pronounced one 16-year-old boy dead at the scene. Although, police have not yet released his identity. In addition, officers say the driver exited the vehicle and fled on foot before he was eventually located near his home. His family then took him to a hospital for treatment of his injuries. Meanwhile, paramedics transported two other teens, a 15-year-old and a 16-year-old to Providence Hospital where one was later taken to Harborview Medical Center. At this time, an active investigation to determine further information is still currently underway.
