15-Year-Old Bicycle Rider Injured in Hit-and-Run Crash on Quail Lakes Drive
STOCKTON, CA (December 3, 2021) – Wednesday afternoon, a teen bicyclist was hurt in a hit-and-run accident on March Lane.
The incident occurred at the intersection of March Lane and Quail Lakes Drive, said police. Emergency crews responded to the scene shortly after.
According to reports, a video from the incident showed an SUV turning right, appearing to be unaware of several bicyclists crossing the street. As a result, the driver struck the bicyclist.
Upon impact, the driver immediately fled the scene after hitting the 15-year-old bicycle rider. At this time, the police can only identify the involved vehicle as an early 2000s model Chevy Tahoe.
The teen suffered injuries as a result of the collision, but is expected to be okay.
At this time, Stockton Officials are still working to identify the hit-and-run driver.
