Two-Vehicle Crash near Hall Street and Elowin Avenue Led to Arrest of 17-Year-Old Boy
VISALIA, CA (August 29, 2023) – Late Sunday morning, a stolen vehicle crash near Hall Street led to the arrest of a teenage suspect. At around 11:00 a.m., officers were searching for a vehicle with a stolen license plate attached near the intersection of Hall Street and Elowin Avenue. Upon finding the vehicle, an officer approached the teen, who refused to follow police orders and instead fled the scene. After speeding off, the suspect ran a stop sign and collided with another vehicle. The teen then exited the vehicle and fled the scene on foot. He was later found at the 1600 block of North Central Street and was booked for suspected hit-and-run and several other charges. Authorities also confirmed that the Nissan was stolen.
