One Sent to Hospital Following Pedestrian Hit-and-Run near North Pacific Street

OCEANSIDE, CA (February 7, 2023) – On Monday night, a male teenager sustained injuries in a pedestrian crash on North Harbor Drive. The incident took place along the parking lot of Pay Lot 10 near N Harbor Drive around 11:15 p.m. The CHP responded to a report of a 17-year-old boy who was unconscious in the parking lot, his injuries similar to being hit by a vehicle. Responding medics airlifted the boy with life-threatening injuries to Scripps La Jolla. Officers withheld his identity pending notification of kin. Police eventually located and arrested the hit-and-run driver, a 15-year-old boy, on unspecified charges at this time. A driver must stop and take certain actions when involved in a pedestrian accident that resulted from injury to another party.
