A teacher's aide molested a teen girl at a local high school, and it was caught on tape.

So says the L.A. County Sheriff's Department, which today announced the arrest over the weekend of Juan Carlos Gutierrez, a 60-year-old who worked at Lawndale's Leuzinger High School.

According to a sheriff's statement he faces …

Gutierrez was arrested Friday at 5:30 p.m. based on a warrant, authorities said.

On Tuesday he “accompanied” a 16-year-old girl who is mentally disabled to a school stairwell and “fondled her over the clothing” in full view of a security camera, according to the sheriff's statement.

Not only that but students who say they witnessed “inappropriate touching” by the aide also reported him to the principal, deputies said.

Gutierrez was released on bond Saturday, according to the sheriff's department. [Correction at 4:30 p.m.]: Sheriff's officials now say he was still behind bars today based on $60,000 bail.

Investigators want anyone with information about other possible incidents to contact them at 877-710-5273.
