There are few days of the year that we dread more than Tax Day. Sympathetic to our plight, there are several local restaurants and national chains offering specials on food and/or drink, ranging from appetizers to a rib meal to cocktails. Turn the page for coupons and specials. Except for Chili's, these deals are available for today only. (Maybe if you're getting an extension, go for that one.)

Arby's

Arby's will give free curly fries or small potato cakes with printed coupon available on its website. The chain is also running an online giveaway with ten opportunities to win $500 in cash.

Boston Market

For $10.40, Boston Market is offering two 1/4 rack barbecue rib meals with mashed potatoes and gravy, corn, as well as cornbread. There is also an online drawing, giving away 1,040 rib meals. All those who sign up receive a $1 off coupon.

Chili's

With the purchase of any adult entree and a printout of the coupon, get a free appetizer or dessert from today until Thursday, April 18.

Cinnabon

At participating locations, Cinnabon is offering two free Cinnabon bites from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m.

Napa Valley Grille

For those rushing to meet the postmark deadline today, there's the reverse happy hour menu with specials from $4 Korean barbecue beef skewers to $7 basil pesto flatbread available from 9 p.m. to midnight. The restaurant is also offering on menu two cocktails designed in reference to today: Bitter Send-Off and Sweet Return.

Sonic

Sonic is offering its drinks and slushes at half of its regular prices.

Street

Susan Feniger's Street will chip in on your bill by taking care of the taxes when you dine at the restaurant for dinner today.

The Bowery

Any one well drink of your choice comes free with purchase of an appetizer and a lunch or dinner entree.
