The title of this dance series references the ephemeral nature of both blossoming flowers and emerging performers. Each seeks the right kind of nourishment to develop to its full potential. Produced by Oguri and Roxanne Steinberg through Body Weather Laboratory, this series strives to provide a supportive environment for emerging solo dancers, who are often their own choreographers. This edition features Lillian Rose Bitkoff, who shows with aplomb her technique in Wink, which garnered a Horton Award nomination for outstanding performance; Claudia Lopez, a longtime member of Hae Kyung Lee & Dancers establishing her own credentials as a choreographer and solo performer; Benjamin Jarrett, a member of Anna Halprin’s Sea Ranch Collective in Northern California; and Eric Losoya, a familiar performer with Oguri’s Body Weather Laboratory now stepping into his own spotlight. Another innovative offering from the Electric Lodge, 1416 Electric Ave., Venice; Thurs.-Fri., June 28-29, 8 p.m.; Sat., June 30, 5 & 8 p.m.; $15, $12 students & seniors.
