Yes, you read that headline correctly. For the foreseeable future, Takami in downtown Los Angeles will be donating 100% of its profits — not 10% or 50% or some portion thereof but every penny of profit — to the Red Cross Japanese Relief Fund.

Numerous employees of the restaurant, located on the upper floor of the elegant Wilshire building, have reportedly been personally affected by the recent earthquake and subsequent tsunami and are trying to do whatever they can to assist their home country. The donations will include all profits from lunch and dinner service, and it currently has no scheduled ending date. Eat well. Do good.
