See our latest: Sydney Leathers: “I Do Not Have HIV.”

The woman at the center of the latest Anthony Weiner sexting scandal might have been exposed to HIV on-set as part of her foray into porn.

Sydney Leathers' debut adult video, “Weiner and Me,” which was released online this week, features performer Xander Corvus as Weiner. He did a scene with Cameron Bay, the porn star who reported that she has initially tested positive for HIV:

The website Gawker put two and two together and surmises that days after Bay reported that she got her last clean test she performed with Corvus for a release called “Public Disgrace.” Then he performed with Leathers.

Leathers told the site that she has tested clean, twice, since then. But it could take as long as three months before an HIV exposure could lead to a positive test.

Corvus is likely to be tested, if he hasn't been already, along with others who might have been been exposed. And, to be practical, transmission of female-to-male HIV seems rare.

Mike South, a well-regarded industry blogger (NSFW link), reports that Bay's boyfriend is a performer who has done both gay and straight porn and that he has committed to being tested.

While the adult industry lobbying group known as the Free Speech Coalition said the case of HIV didn't originate on-set, it seems there's no telling if performers were exposed after Bay turned up positive.

South says that one of the men possibly exposed was part of a 36-guy-vs.-one-girl scene shot before Bay's situation was revealed. If that's true, it could mean a whole lot of possible exposures.

The AIDS Healthcare Foundation, behind the successful Measure B law passed by voters in November that mandates condoms in porn for most of L.A. county, used the news of Bay's status to urge the industry to start complying with that law.
