60-Year-Old Woman Dies in Pedestrian Accident on Hickey Boulevard

SAN MATEO COUNTY, CA (October 7, 2022) – Tuesday morning, a pedestrian crash on Skyline Boulevard claimed the life of Susan Chavez

The incident happened around 3:30 a.m., between Hickey Boulevard and King Drive on October 4th. 

According to reports, Chavez was walking in the area when she was struck by a vehicle. Upon arrival, authorities found the female pedestrian lying in the roadway unresponsive. 

Despite life-saving efforts, medics later pronounced 60-year-old Chavez, of Pacifica dead at the scene.

Meanwhile, the involved driver remained at the scene and cooperated with the investigation. Authorities closed a section of Skyline Boulevard between Hickey and King until 9:00 a.m.

No further details regarding the pedestrian crash have been released to the public. However, San Mateo County will provide more information once available.
