The lovely inked-up ladies from the Suicide Girls have been throwing their Club Suicide dance party for a whole year now, and for the first-birthday bash, expect only the tartest cheesecake (onstage). Though it moved to the Dragonfly, Suicide returns to the Echoplex for the event, with guest DJ Scotty20Boy and Erick Neutron spinning electro, remixes and ’80s & ’90s sounds for the occasion, plus (the reason most dudes will be there) special SG performances. 1154 Glendale Blvd., Echo Park; Fri., June 5. www.myspace.com/clubsuicidela. Next night, also at the ’Plex, the mash-up mania of Bootie LA marks four years and (s)mashing, with the usual bootlegged beats, a dance performance by RAID and a special live set by Smash Up Derby from San Fran, where Bootie began. Sat., June 6. www.bootiela.com. First Fridays, the Natural History Museum’s music series, ends its season with Z-Trip (with Dam Funk) plus Gas Lamp Killer and The Phatal DJ on the decks this week. Come early for a discussion on Darwinism and then show ’em who’s really the fittest in the dance room. 900 Exposition Blvd., dwntwn.; Fri., June 5. www.nhm.org/firstfridays.
