An end-of-summer drunk-driving crackdown is in full swing. The LAPD, the L.A. County Sheriff's Department, and nearly 100 other local police are on the hunt for motorists under the influence.

And they'll be on it until the end of the Labor Day holiday weekend Sept. 2. Here's what we know about this weekend's operations:

–Tonight on Highland Avenue at De Longpre Avenue in Hollywood there will be an LAPD DUI checkpoint from 8 p.m. to 2 a.m.

–Tonight from 8 p.m. to 2 a.m. there will be an LAPD checkpoint on La Brea Avenue at Rodeo Road near Southwest L.A.'s so-called Jungles neighborhood.

–Tonight a checkpoint will be happening somewhere in the city of Covina. Sheriff's officials aren't saying exactly when or where it will be.

DUI Patrol – Avoid the 100 (East) – (San Gabriel, Downey, Alhambra, Monterey Park, Montebello, Bell Gardens, Whittier)

DUI Patrol – Avoid the 100 (West) El Camino College Police, El Segundo, Gardena, Hawthorne, Hermosa Beach, Inglewood, Manhattan Beach, Palos Verdes Estates, Redondo Beach, Torrance

DUI Patrol – Pomona

–Saturday there will be a checkpoint in South L.A. on Western Avenue and 39th Street from 6 p.m to midnight, the LAPD says.
