Hit-and-Run Crash near Clinton Avenue Left Sukhwinder Singh Dead

FRESNO, CA (January 18, 2023) – Monday evening, a hit-and-run crash on Marks Avenue claimed the life of Sukhwinder Singh.

The incident occurred on January 16th, at around 8:00 p.m. at the intersection of Marks Avenue and Clinton Avenue.

According to reports, an unknown northbound vehicle hit Singh while he was walking along Marks Avenue. Then, a second vehicle hit the victim, leaving the man with fatal injuries.

Following the collision, the first driver exited their vehicle and fled the scene of the incident on foot. Meanwhile, the driver of the second vehicle remained at the scene and waited for authorities to arrive.

First responders to the accident site pronounced 64-year-old Sukhwinder Singh, of Fresno, dead at the scene.

At this time, investigators are continuing to search for the first driver. Anyone with further information regarding the incident is encouraged to call Fresno Police as soon as possible.
