This past weekend's Frightmare Before Xmas show at the Dragonfly thrown by Batcave Hollywood was quite a morbid yet merry mash-up, but the horrific highlight of this holiday massacre was LA's own Rosemary's Billygoat. If you've ever caught the local schlock-rock lunatics on stage over their 20 year career (yes, 20, according to frontman Mike Odd) you know they've got an arsenal of anarchistic Alice Cooper-style stage tricks. Below, six (.66) reasons why they still rule and should be just as famous as GWAR.

1. Hell Is For Children– Not only is the band's cover of Pat Benatar's classic reinterpreted in fiendish fashion on stage (props for this song always include baby dolls; see red imp being pitchforcked in the neck by Odd, above), it sounds really good done in the goat's sludgy, dramatic style.

2. Pentagram Pizzas– “Pizza of Darkness” might be a cheezy track, but who can resist a pentagram sliced pie? The band have actually served the foodstuff at shows, but Saturday, Odd simply held up a giant one. His outfit made up for the lack of snacks.

3. Hobbit Feet- A cautionary tune about picking up dudes in big boots at bars.

6.66. Even without the freaky/funny theatrics, RB's music manages to be aggro and dark yet jovial and dare we say it, feel good? Also, they're one of the few bands that it's actually okay to say, “they killed it” on stage, because they always do. In more ways than one.
