Student Hospitalized after Car Accident at Cimarron-Memorial High School at Tenaya Way

LAS VEGAS, NV (May 23, 2023) – Wednesday morning, a Cimarron-Memorial High School student sustained injuries after a pedestrian crash on Tenaya Way.

The accident occurred on Tenaya Way on the morning of April 26th. Reports stated that a car hit the student while crossing a marked crosswalk on the east side of the campus. Responding medics arrived and took the victim, an 18-year-old girl, to UMC to receive immediate medical attention.

At this time, the name and the current condition of the student are still unknown.

Furthermore, the involved driver stayed at the scene and officers cited him for failing to stop for a pedestrian in a marked crosswalk.

Police have not released any additional information, but they have reminded drivers to exercise caution in school zones and on school property.
