About one in five of you typically votes in a city election like the one coming May 21. It's kind of not a big deal, at least to y'all.

One street artist, Bubblehead, is hoping to change your minds about that with a series of pieces put up around town this month:

Yep. Even though the difference between mayoral candidates Wendy Greuel and Eric Garcetti, both union-backed Democrats, seems smaller than the city's pothole-repair budget, Bubblehead is hoping to provoke you and push you into the voting booth.

And, to be fair, further down the ballot, the race between incumbent City Attorney Carmen Trutanich, who's widely seen as relatively conservative, and Democratic challenger Mike Feuer, presents a true choice.

Bubblehead, a.k.a. Mike McNeilly, says:

If we don't vote we are telling our politicians that we don't care what they do and that is a dangerous message to give them. If you want change, if you want a say in your life…VOTE.
