Streaming Event Pick: Women Under The Influence Discuss The Art of the Pitch

A new online conversation series created to inspire artistic vision and professional empowerment, “The Counsel” hosts its second Zoom panel discussion on Friday. Presented by Women Under The Influence and IHEARTCOMIX, the online event titled “The Art of the Pitch: Or How to Win Jobs and Influence People,” offers advice on pitching ideas from females who are experts in their respective creative fields, including directors and entertainment execs who’ve leveled the playing field and won acclaim for their work.

This panel includes Crystal Moselle (director of HBO’s Betty and the films Skate Kitchen and Woldpack), Sally Campbell (co-founder of Somesuch, a successful commercial production house), and Targa Sahyoun, senior VP of video production at Capitol Music Group.  The discussion is hosted by Tabitha Denholm of W.U.T.I., a group making waves via screening events and media, elevating women in cinema and pushing back against the industry’s bias against them.
