Stone Temple Pilots at SXSW. Yep, They've Still Got It

Presented by StubHub, Stone Temple Pilots performed the Austin Music Hall at SXSW, sounding better than ever and playing many of their early hits like “Creep,” “Wicked Garden,” “Plush” and more. The crowd went nuts but the press seemed a bit disappointed that Weiland was actually in top form and *not* wasted. After the show we spoke to another photographer who lamented, “Scott Weiland wasn't drunk” like his SXSW performance with Velvet Revolver in 2008 where Weiland lip synched with a broken tooth. What does this say about journalists if we prefer our entertainers on the brink of personal disaster simply for the photo opp?
