At Least One Hospitalized after Police Chase Ends in Crash on Whitley Avenue

HOLLYWOOD, CA (October 4, 2021) A police pursuit of a stolen Amazon delivery truck resulted in a crash on Whitley Avenue on Tuesday.

The incident happened in the 1800 block of Whitley Avenue, and officers started chasing the stolen truck at about 5:45 p.m.

The truck then crashed near the intersection of Santa Monica Boulevard and Wilton Place a few miles later, per the CHP.

Footage from the incident revealed a gray Toyota car with a smashed-up front end, particularly on the passenger side. However, the Amazon truck does not appear to have suffered any major damage.

Eventually, police later apprehended the man and placed him under arrest.

On the other hand, medics took the driver of the second car to the hospital, although the extent of his injuries are unknown.

Authorities did not release any additional information at this time. However, further investigation into the crash on Whitley Avenue is underway.
