Multi-Vehicle Crash on State Route 89 Results in Multiple Injuries

LAKE TAHOE, CA (August 12, 2021) – Friday morning, Stevan Fairover and Christiana Gray were injured in a crash on State Route 89.

According to the CHP, the incident occurred around 6:15 a.m., near Luther Pass. Dispatchers arrived to the area shortly after.

Investigators say a southbound 2011 Dodge Ram pickup-truck veered across the northbound lanes. As a result, the Dodge sideswiped a gray Toyota Tundra pickup-truck.

Afterwards, the Dodge collided head-on with a northbound 2006 Chevy 2500 pickup.

Furthermore, the Toyota was driven by 43-year-old Tristian Cormier, of Carmichael. He did not sustain any serious injuries.

Emergency crews transported the Dodge driver, Stevan Fairover, and the Chevy driver, Christiana Gray to Barton Memorial Hospital with major injuries.

Moreover, Lake Tahoe Officials are currently working to identify the events leading up to the multi-vehicle crash.
