Traffic will be jammed around Century City Thursday afternoon and, no, President Obama is not in town. This time around the SEIU United Service Workers West is organizing what it says will be a “massive march and rally” to decry the recent layoffs of 16 janitors who worked at the Century Plaza building.

The Los Angeles Police Department announced several street closures (after the jump) and advised drivers, essentially, to steer clear of the area.

The noon-to-6 p.m. closures include:

-Avenue of the Stars between Santa Monica and Olympic boulevards.

-Olympic Boulevard through Century City.

-Century Park East between Santa Monica and Olympic.

-Constellation Avenue between Century Park East and Century Park West.
