There are few television abominations that match the 1978 Star Wars Holiday Special. Centered around the Wookiee celebration of Life Day, this attempt at a variety show has been virtually erased from the franchise’s legacy. Fans, however, never forget. This year, the Star Wars fanatics at Glendale bar Complex are hosting their first Star Wars Holiday Special Life Day Celebration, complete with themed drinks, vendors, a performance from the Jimmy Psycho Experiment and more guests to be announced. As in the Holiday Special, Boba Fett, or someone in the bounty hunter’s costume, will make an appearance. Hopefully, someone will show up in a Bea Arthur cosplay. Her turn as a Mos Eisley bartender is the only thing worthwhile about that ill-conceived holiday mess.
