Stage Raw: Pee Wee Forever?

Not quite “forever,” but Stage Raw just learned that The Pee Wee Herman Show, originally slated for Nov. 8 – 29 at the Music Box @ The Fonda is now selling tickets through December 20th, due to overwhelming pre-sale. The show was born in 1981 at The Groundlings (reportedly after Paul Reubens, a.k.a. Pee Wee, was snubbed by that season's Saturday Night Live. Reubens' show transferred to the Roxy that year, where it played for five months,  was filmed by HBO, and Pee Wee became a national figure, the embodiment of our infantile inner-selves.
