Porn star-turned-teacher Stacie Halas is fighting back.

The 32-year-old says she'll challenge her dismissal from her teaching gig at Haydock Intermediate School in Oxnard.

She was placed on paid leave last month after her film work from about six years ago was discovered, reportedly by students:

Last week the Oxnard School District board decided that having an adult video hottie teach 8th grade boys wasn't the best idea. They canned her.

We think the boys would have been paying more attention than ever. Heard of the idea of learning incentives, made famous in the book Freakonomics?

Halas at work.

Halas at work.

Anyway, Halas' attorney, Richard Schwab, told the Ventura County Star over the weekend that it's on. (She had 30 days to appeal the board's decision and it sounds like she's using her time wisely). He told the paper:

The type of conduct she engaged in was lawful conduct in a business which, while others may disagree with its content, is very vibrant in both Los Angeles as well as the state of California.

Halas did her thing, including Big Sausage Pizza, for a San Diego producer around 2006, but seems to have left the adult life behind.

If she's not given her job back, Schwab says the lesson for students “is that if you make a mistake, then it's irreparable.”

Sort of like George W. Bush. But this time with lube.
