Multi-Vehicle Crash on Interstate 215 near Columbia Avenue Left One Fatality

RIVERSIDE COUNTY, CA (January 11, 2022) – A multi-vehicle crash on Interstate 215 claimed the life of Spencer Smith Friday afternoon.

The incident occurred around 2:10 p.m. near Columbia Avenue.

Eventually, first responders arrived and transported the victim to Riverside Community Hospital but he later succumbed to his injuries.

According to a witness, a person exited a crashed Jeep and was struck by another vehicle on the freeway.

Later on, the coroner’s office identified the deceased victim as 38-year-old Spencer Smith of Menifee.

At this time, the Riverside County Officials are investigating the reasons behind the Interstate 215 multi-vehicle crash.
