In laid-back, SoCal style, the space shuttle Endeavour was more than fashionably late to its final home, the California Science Center, but people along its 12-mile route from LAX to Exposition Park didn't seem to mind the extra viewing time.

The Endeavour got to its destination today at 1:10 p.m. after a half-day's worth of delays related to a broken-down transporter and pine trees that had to be trimmed, according to City News Service.
