Sound of Gunfire, Then Blazing Flames at Koreatown Apartment Building

The cracking sound of gunfire proceeded a fire at a Koreatown apartment building Friday Sept. 17. The blaze at 614 S. St. Andrews Place was reported at 8:37 a.m., according to Brian Humphrey of the LAFD. Flames attacked a “decorative mansard” atop the six-story brick building, believed to be about 83-years-old, he said. It took 152 firefighters 62 minutes to put out the fire.
