Who: Judson Rogers, a.k.a. Sumsun, a Florida (and occasionally North Carolina) based electronic musician who has been releasing music through L.A.'s own Low End Theory affiliated label, Leaving Records.

What: “Call It Home,” a track that has less to do with the local beat music landscape (I.E. Flying Lotus, Nosaj Thing) and more to do with a transatlantic ethereal dance vibe that splits the difference between Four Tet and Neon Indian, or Caribou and Mount Kimbie.

Why You Should Care: Because Sumsun's pending Samo Milagro album is the most accessible release to come from the Leaving Records camp yet — it's an apt gateway drug to a world of collage-based tunes that value atmosphere and texture over thump and glitch.
