This DJ night won’t have dancing, but it will be entrancing. The turntable groovesters behind Dublab are gathering their talents for a night of “Tonalism” — ambient sounds that are more about texture and mood than volume and beats per minute. Expect trippy sonic interludes and languid rhythm swirls from DJs Frosty, Jimmy, Morpho, J, Mendez and Hoseh, plus live downbeat electro offerings from Tropic of Cancer and Languis (doing a six-speaker surround-sound set). Attendees are invited to get comfy — real comfy ±— by bringing pillows, blankets, sleeping bags, beanbags and cushions to lounge on as they become enveloped by the sounds and enjoy visuals projected by the wizards from Labrat Matinee. Complimentary tea will be served all night long, adding a warm touch to the chilled-out thrills. Pehrspace, 325 Glendale Blvd., Echo Park; Sat., March 3, 9 p.m.–6 a.m.; $5. www.dublab.com.

Saturday brings sparkling sounds from John Digweed and MSTRKRFT, partners on the Diamonds ’07 tour.

Tonalism a little too mellow for ya? For those who just have to get nuts on the floor, don’t miss the Diamonds ’07 tour featuring John Digweed and MSTRKRFT at Giant. Digweed, the master of trance, tech and house, will be spinning selections from his latest, Transitions Vol. 2, a collection that features the crème de la crème in remixes, tracks and edits from his syndicated radio show. Electro-punx MSTRKRFT might seem an odd choice of touring partner, but really, the pairing makes sense. Both artists offer epic, electrofied sounds that shine in their multifaceted intensity, just like the brilliant rocks their tour is named after. Vanguard, 6021 Hollywood Blvd., Hlywd.; Sat., March 3, 9 p.m.–4 a.m.; over 21. See www.giantclub.com for more information. (323) 480-3232.
