The Southern California Independent Booksellers Association (SCIBA) has recently named the nominees for its book award, and one such nominee is L.A. restaurant guide Eat Los Angeles.

It was the first edition of the handy little book, which is broken down easily by tabbed categories like “Food That's Fast”, “Breakfast + Lunch” and “Gourmet To Go.” The blurbs for each spot are short, sweet and to the point, breaking down the who/what/why, contact info and hours of operation on everywhere from M Café to Marukai Market.

The 2010 edition of Eat Los Angeles will be released on December 1st, and while bigger and more comprehensive, will still keep its same $19.95 price tag. The winner of the SCIBA awards will be announced in October, at the annual banquet held at the Biltmore Hotel downtown.
