President Obama, what with his Hawaiian heritage, is one of the most laid-back presidents ever to sit in the ultimate seat of power.

He once shook the hand of a Marine, which is outside protocol, and you just know that he plays it cool.

But Snoop Dogg's recent suggestion is beyond the bounds of even Obama's loosened-up mores:

The L.A. rapper wants to smoke the president out. And after he said as much, he was arrested … by federal law enforcement.

That's right.

Snoop thinks that if the leader of the free world tried a little of Snoop's OG Kush he would get behind legalizing it.

As it is, Obama's administration is not that cool. A recent online petition to “Legalize and Regulate Marijuana in a Manner Similar to Alcohol” brought this response from the the White House Drug Czar:

Simply put, it is not a benign drug.

Like many, we are interested in the potential marijuana may have in providing relief to individuals diagnosed with certain serious illnesses. That is why we ardently support ongoing research into determining what components of the marijuana plant can be used as medicine. To date, however, neither the FDA nor the Institute of Medicine have found smoked marijuana to meet the modern standard for safe or effective medicine for any condition.

Snoop recently told a radio station (via Jezebel) that a little sticky icky would adjust Obama's attitude:

Before I even said “Hi” to President Obama, I would change the aroma of the room. […] And then we could start conversing after we had that aroma change. You know what I'm talking about? […]

We get that understanding that this is what needs to happen in order to make the world go 'round.

We're not sure what the president thinks of the proposal for a pot pow-wow, but maybe this is a sign:

His U.S. Border Patrol agents arrested Snoop at a checkpoint in Sierra Blanca, Texas over the weekend after they smelled some of that good stuff emanating from tour bus.

Mr. Dogg reportedly admitted it was his. Perhaps the weed was destined for the White House.

It seems to us, Snoop, that Obama is not your bud.
