A man dressed as a Smurf was shot in the ankle Sunday at a Halloween party in Historic West Adams, cops said.
The beef wasn't about the victim wearing all-blue in a sometimes tough neighborhood, either.
No, it was over a girl (who was also dressed as a Smurf):
Apparently her argument with the shooter ended when the suspect punched her in the face, according to Sgt. Mark Green of the LAPD's Southwest Division.
When her Smurf-adorned bf stepped in he got a bullet for his chivalry.
It happened about 2:45 a.m. near Sixth Avneue and 30th Street, police said.
The victim got to stay at the hospital Sunday. The shooter took off, and no description was available.
