To celebrate the launch of Bombay Sapphire’s newest flavor expression, Bombay Bramble, Chef Marcus Samuelsson is offering “Bursting with Berries,” a complimentary four-part virtual cooking and cocktail mixing series. 

Known for magnifying Black voices in the culinary world, Samuelsson has brought together three chefs from around the country, including Charcoal’s chef de cuisine, Joseph Johnson, whose virtual class takes place on Thursday, June 17. On the menu: Moroccan spiced zucchini and mushrooms accompanied by a blackberry harissa sauce and couscous, paired with Samuelsson’s Bramble 75 cocktail. Smorgasburg L.A. will reopen on Sunday, July 4, just two weeks after what would have been its fifth anniversary. With more than five acres of open space at the 100-year-old 7th Street Produce Market inside ROW DTLA, Smorgasburg will return with seating for hundreds, their Love Micheladas beer garden, and upwards of 75 food and shopping vendors. The Sunday food fest is hiring, accepting new vendor applications, and will welcome new food options as well as old favorites.

Candy Club is teaming up with Cake Monkey in honor of June being National Candy Month. Cake Monkey’s Founder Lisa Olin has created a new Banana Peanut Toffee Crunch Cakewich using Candy Club’s Chocolate Toffee Peanuts. The Banana Cake Sandwich is filled with peanut buttercream, banana jam and Candy Club’s chocolate toffee peanuts, coated in bittersweet chocolate. All of the proceeds from the collaboration will go to People Assisting The Homeless (PATH), a local nonprofit focused on ending homelessness for individuals, families and communities by building affordable housing and providing supportive services throughout California.

Fatburger and Death Row Records are joining The Grammy Museum to honor African American Music Appreciation Month (June) and the hip-hop label’s 30th anniversary. Throughout June, merchandise will be available for purchase commemorating the label that brought us Tupac, Ice Cube, Dr. Dre and Snoop Dogg among others. Sixty limited-edition NFTs commemorating the collaboration will be available with some of the proceeds going to the museum as well as $1.30 from each XXXL Burger purchased in-store or online during June. Exhibits at the museum related to African American History Month include Motown: The Sound of Young America and This is Nat King Cole. Go Go Bird will be popping up at Citizen Public Market Friday, June 11 through Sunday, June 13. The menu will include favorites like juicy tenders, spicy wings and sides as well as a  limited edition chicken sandwich.

Xenia, the California inspired Mediterranean pop up will be calling Jill Davie’s The Mar Vista home for the summer on Sundays and Mondays beginning this weekend.
