SmithHouse, which opened just last week on Santa Monica Boulevard in Century City, closed today due to a burst water main. According to an employee, a car crashed into a water pipe in their garage, and the restaurant will reopen per usual tomorrow.

The gastropub shares a garage with the office building next door, so the car could have come from their neighboring business, however the restaurant did not confirm this information. The location, on the corner of Santa Monica and Beverly Glen next to the 76 gas station, has had a high turn-over rate, but let's hope SmithHouse lasts longer than a week.
