L.A. Club Icon Celebrates 50th With an "Iconic" Soiree

The invitation said "Dress as your favorite music icon" but the guest list had its own share of celebrated stars from the worlds of entertainment, music and art at club promoter, events impresario and film producer Bryan Rabin's 50th birthday bash last week presented by The Standard, Hollywood.

The man behind unforgettable happenings such as '90s groundbreaker club Cherry and current hot spot Giorgio's was honored in song by Rufus Wainwright, Michael Des Barres, Donita Sparks & Jennifer Finch of L7, Donovan Leitch, and Adam Bravin of She Wants Revenge (DJ Adam 12).

A poem was read by Warhol Superstar Cherry Vanilla and actress Lisa Edelstein (The Girlfriend's Guide to Divorce) MC’d the soiree.

Guests included Bananarama's Siobhan Fahey, Bauhaus/Love & Rockets' Kevin Haskins, The Slits' Palmolive, writers Merle Ginsberg and Rose Apodaca, makeup artist Kathy Jeung, model Tony Ward, superstar hairdresser Danilo, artist Tatiana Von Furstenberg, Sex Pistols' Johnny Rotten aka John Lyndon (whom everyone is talking about after the Epix Punk documentary panel he and Sparks had just participated in) and many more fabulously garbed well-wishers.
