There's going to be a lot of kicking and pushing across America in the next month, and we're not just talking about the Ultimate Fighting Championship.
A group of 7 skateboarders based in L.A. are setting off today on a ride across the nation that will benefit Friends of Foster Children in Alhambra.
This Great Skate will take them over mountains, deserts and plains, 3,200 miles worth, from …
… Newport Oregon to New York, according the crew's Facebook page.
“The Rockies are going to be a little intense,” skater Marc Juvinall, speaking about the Rocky Mountains, told KTLA News.
He said he expects the skaters to through two pairs of shoes each during the 21-day trek.
They hope to have $20,000 lined up for the charity when it's all over.
Sponsors such as Maui and Sons surf-and-skate shop have already lined up.
Godspeed.
